About Guru Randhawa

Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa, known globally as Guru Randhawa, is one of India’s most successful singer-songwriters, recognized for transforming Punjabi-pop music into a mainstream international phenomenon. Born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, he completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration before relentlessly pursuing his childhood passion for music. Randhawa catapulted to widespread stardom with his self-penned breakout hit "High Rated Gabru," which became one of the fastest Indian tracks to surpass millions of digital views. He cemented his domestic supremacy through chart-topping anthems like "Suit," which seamlessly transitioned from independent singles to major Bollywood soundtracks. Breaking global barriers, Randhawa collaborated with American music icon Pitbull on the bilingual smash "Slowly Slowly," demonstrating Indian music's crossover potential on international charts. He later expanded his creative repertoire into feature films, making his Bollywood acting debut with the romantic drama *Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay*. Through his magnetic hook-driven melodies and dynamic international collaborations, Randhawa continues to serve as an enduring cultural ambassador who modernized Punjabi music for a worldwide audience.
