Is this Western or Vedic compatibility?

This calculator uses Western (sun-sign) astrology — it compares the two signs by element, modality and ruling planet. It is not Vedic compatibility: Vedic matching (Ashta Koota / Guna Milan) is a separate system based on the Moon nakshatras of both people, and it is not what this tool computes.
