In 1905, he established the Servants of India Society, dedicating his life to training selfless volunteers for social welfare and civic advancement. A committed constitutionalist, he consistently pursued progressive self-governance through institutional dialogue rather than confrontation, serving as a primary political mentor to Mahatma Gandhi.
