    Three of Wands upright

A calm figure, back turned, stands on a cliff edge watching ships pass, three staves planted beside him. Waite says the ships carry his merchandise and calls the card established strength, enterprise, effort. Your groundwork is in motion; keep an eye on the horizon and on the partners who help you.

    Three of Wands reversed

Waite reversed gives the end of troubles and the ceasing of adversity, toil and disappointment. A tiring phase is over; rest a moment before the next push.

    A is one drawn upside-down.

    Three of Wands in love

A relationship growing with shared plans, or a long-distance link.

    Three of Wands in career

Trade, exports, collaboration and business partnerships progress.

    Three of Wands in money

Returns starting to arrive from earlier effort.

Is Three of Wands a yes or no?

Upright: Leans yes. Yes — things you set in motion are moving.

Reversed: Reversed, Three of Wands reads as a soft yes: relief, end of troubles, pause.

The yes/no lean is BornClock’s reading convention drawn from the card’s meaning — Waite himself did not assign one.
