    Yes / no: Leans yes

    Knight of Pentacles upright

A knight sits on a heavy, slow, enduring horse, holding his pentacle but not looking at it. Waite says the horse matches the rider and lists utility, serviceableness, interest, responsibility and rectitude — all on the everyday, practical level. Keep going steadily; it adds up.

    Knight of Pentacles reversed

Waite reversed gives inertia, idleness, repose of the wrong kind, stagnation, placidity, discouragement and carelessness. Shake up the routine a little.

    A is one drawn upside-down.

    Knight of Pentacles in love

Loyal and steady; maybe needs a little more spontaneity.

    Knight of Pentacles in career

Reliable, methodical progress. The tortoise wins.

    Knight of Pentacles in money

Slow, sensible growth; boring is good here.

Is Knight of Pentacles a yes or no?

Upright: Leans yes. Yes — slowly.

Reversed: Reversed, Knight of Pentacles reads as a gentle no: inertia, idleness, stagnation.

The yes/no lean is BornClock’s reading convention drawn from the card’s meaning — Waite himself did not assign one.
