Mars in Mithuna (Gemini)
Mars is in an enemy’s sign in Gemini.
Mars signifies energy, courage, siblings and drive; Gemini is a dual air sign ruled by Mercury. The two blend as follows.
Strength of the placement
Mars is under pressure here — in an enemy’s sign. This does not mean "bad": it means the planet must work harder, and its themes (energy, courage, siblings and drive) can feel strained until it matures. Classical texts note that a debilitated planet can give strong results when a Neecha-Bhanga (cancellation) applies — so always read the whole chart.
How Gemini’s nature colours Mars
Gemini brings a air, dual quality: mental, communicative and social and flexible and two-sided. Filtered through Gemini, Mars's drive for energy & courage tends to express through ideas, words and people.
What it tends to give
At its best this placement supports energy & courage, drive & ambition, property & land, brothers & competition — expressed in the Gemini style. Where it is strained, watch for anger, impatience, accidents from haste or scattered energy.
Care points & remedy mindset
Mars in Gemini can over-reach into anger, impatience, accidents from haste or scattered energy. The classical attitude is not fear but maturity: strengthen the planet through its positive significations (honest energy & courage), and read the result alongside the house Mars occupies and its current Dasha. Nothing here fixes an outcome — it is a tendency the tradition describes.
Dignity is computed from the classical exaltation table and natural () friendships. How we calculate this →
